Community Gathering on Peacebuilding and Ending Violence

In 2021, As part of the project “Eliminating Violence and Promoting Social Peace”, WCBDO organized community workshops and gatherings in PD5 of Kabul. The events were attended by the head of the PD5 Women’s Council, female university students, local women, and community leaders.

Workshops were facilitated by Professor Tokali, who addressed violence prevention from Islamic, social, and cultural perspectives. Religious scholars, elders, and local representatives also participated, making the discussions diverse and inclusive. In addition, under the “Addressing Main Barriers: SGBV in the Context” project, WCBDO continued its awareness-raising efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic, creating safe spaces for dialogue on gender-based violence. These gatherings built community solidarity and encouraged practical steps toward peace and equality
