On March 13, 2022, the Women’s Capacity Building and Development Organization (WCBDO) conducted an online training session for its staff on the importance and impact of digital literacy and e-learning.

In today’s world, the process of digital transformation is expanding rapidly, and many institutions, universities, and organizations have increasingly adopted digital and electronic tools. For instance, universities now utilize online education, a method whose value became especially evident during the COVID-19 pandemic, when students were able to continue their studies seamlessly through online platforms without interruption.

In professional and administrative settings, the use of digital tools has also become an essential requirement for carrying out tasks, maintaining communication, sharing and receiving documents, and managing data. Digital literacy not only increases speed and accuracy in daily tasks but also enables effective interaction and coordination among staff. Therefore, having sufficient knowledge and skills in this area is vital for employees across sectors, including offices, universities, hospitals, and other institutions.

This training session helped WCBDO staff become familiar with modern digital tools and technologies and learn how to use them to improve performance, enhance productivity, and facilitate communication. The session also emphasized the importance of continuous learning and regularly updating digital skills to meet the evolving demands of society and emerging technologies.
