The Women Capacity Building and Development Organization (WCBDO), with financial support from UN Women, has launched a project in District 5 to empower women through training in traditional carpet weaving.

The aim of this project is to train and empower 56 eligible women and girls in the areas of carpet weaving, literacy, business management, and health awareness. This training will help them create better economic opportunities and achieve financial independence.

At the end of the program, participants will receive carpet weaving tools, equipment, and training materials, so they can use their new skills to support themselves and their families through sustainable livelihoods.

WCBDO remains committed to continuing its efforts toward promoting economic self-reliance, education, and sustainable support for the empowerment of Afghan women.
