Project Report: Computer Skills and English Language Training

With financial support from the esteemed Counterpart organization, WCBDO successfully implemented a valuable educational project in Kabul in 2014 This initiative was designed with the goal of enhancing the capacities and empowering young women in the fields of computer skills and English language learning.

Through this program, 20 talented young women were provided with the opportunity to gain essential computer knowledge and effectively learn English over the course of one year. The primary objective of the project was to ensure access to quality education for young women and to equip them with the skills necessary to actively participate in educational, professional, and social environments.

Project activities included organizing computer training classes from basic to intermediate levels, providing practical skills in the use of essential applications, and conducting English language courses focused on listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This process not only strengthened the participants’ knowledge and practical abilities but also boosted their confidence for future academic and professional endeavors.

The results of the project demonstrated that creating educational opportunities for young women has a direct and positive impact on improving their academic performance, access to the job market, and social participation. Upon completion of the program, participants were able to play a more active role in various educational and professional fields.

The implementation of this project stands as a clear example of WCBDO’s commitment to the empowerment of women and girls in Afghanistan and its dedication to investing in the country’s human capital.
