Humanitarian Aid Distribution

From May 9 to June 29, 2020, the Women’s Capacity Building and Development Organization, in collaboration with the Ehsaas Charity Foundation, launched a humanitarian and hopeful initiative. This effort involved the identification and assessment of widows and vulnerable families across the provinces of Kabul, Paktia, Maidan Wardak, Nangarhar, Kunar, Kandahar, Helmand, Samangan, and Kunduz.

As a result of these efforts, 100 essential food packages—including flour, rice, oil, beans, sugar, tea, and hygiene soaps were distributed to impoverished and affected families suffering from the consequences of the global COVID-19 pandemic.

This philanthropic action was not only a response to the urgent needs of disadvantaged communities in the mentioned provinces during the difficult days of the pandemic but also stood as a symbol of solidarity and mutual support in critical times.

The Women’s Capacity Building and Development Organization sincerely extends its gratitude to the esteemed Afghan sisters residing in London and Norway, who, with a spirit of humanity, compassion, advocacy, and financial support, contributed to this initiative alongside the Ehsaas Charity Foundation.

Their support and solidarity continue to inspire us to move forward on our path—the path whose ultimate goal is the empowerment of women, the alleviation of suffering among vulnerable groups, and the promotion of a culture of cooperation and altruism within society.
